Lighthouse assortment

One of the things that comes to mind when you think about the ocean are lighthouses. Standing tall enough for a ship to see far out onto the horizon, its lifesaving light guides the fisherman home wherever that may be. Etch some classic lighthouses on your glassware, coasters and votive candle holders for your summer decor.

Supplies Needed:

  • Large Glass plate or platter
  • #60-3909 Etchable glass coasters
  • #20-0182 Rub N Etch Nautical stencil
  • #15-0150 3 oz Armour Etch Cream
  • #15-0315 Glass cleaner
  • Assorted tiny-medium size shells, starfish, and other things you would find on the beach (such as tiny polished rocks, seahorse, driftwood, coral, etc)
  • Small pearls
  • 1/2" Masking tape
  • Paper towels

Etching the glass:

  1. Wash glass items with hot soap and water, rinse, and clean with glass cleaner to remove all dirt, grease and grime.
  2. Cut out the lighthouse stencil from the Rub N Etch stencil sheet. Apply stencil to the glass in the desired location. Follow directions that come with the Rub N Etch stencil. View the directions and How To Video
  3. Protect any of the exposed glass with masking tape.
  4. Apply Armour Etch glass etching cream to the stencil View the directions and How to Video. Click HERE
  5. Wash off all Etch cream and the stencil with running water
  6. Clean with glass cleaner and dry completely
  7. Repeat until all the glass items are etched.
