Smooth Sailing

The blue lids on these upcycled jars become a three dimensional still life when adorned with a variety of small novelty sailboats. It's always smooth sailing when you use the Paradise Over N Over Glass Etching Stencil Sheet and our Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream. Upcycled jars are a treasure trove of possibility. Toss them around the tablescape as drinking jars, condiment and silverware holders, serve dessert in them or fill them up with seasonal sweets, layered baking and soup mixes, scarves and gloves, craft kits, beads and baubles or make them into luminaries with candles.

Preparation and Usage Starting Skills

Project Steps

After preparing the glass, place the lighthouse and sailboat stencils onto the front of the jars.
Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the designs onto the jars.
Arrange and attach the sailboats to the jar lids. If you do not have blue lids, the original lid that came with the jar can be painted.
